  • Base Salary $113,184 - $134,403 per annum + 17% superannuation

About the opportunity

Sydney Health Ethics and the Sydney School of Public Health are seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Bioethics (Level B). We seek scholars trained in bioethics or closely associated fields. You will be given the opportunity and support to grow your program of research while teaching into the Sydney Bioethics Program, as well as teaching into other postgraduate degree programs in the Faculty of Medicine and Health.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • contribute to outstanding teaching and learning outcomes in Sydney Health Ethics
  • develop a competitively funded program of original research (either independently or as part of a team)
  • contribute to the engagement and administrative activities of Sydney Health Ethics and the Sydney School of Public Health
  • contribute to and help shape the strategic goals of Sydney Health Ethics and the Sydney School of Public Health

About you

  • doctorate or PhD in a relevant field
  • demonstrated experience and success in designing and delivering bioethics teaching
  • developing research profile evidenced by original, high-quality and independent research, with a track record of extramural research funding an advantage
  • demonstrated capacity to communicate effectively across a range of forums and to work collegially, collaboratively, and inclusively with fellow scholars and professional staff
  • developing network of relationships with key academic and professional institutions, partners, and stakeholders
  • evidence of developing capacity to contribute to governance, administration, or community engagement and impact
