About the opportunity:

As a Lecturer within the Faculty of Science and Technology, your expertise will play a pivotal role in advancing the teaching of applied mathematics for 1st year students.

Reporting to the Discipline Lead and supported by senior staff you will work collaboratively on the development, delivery, and evaluation of undergraduate and postgraduate course material.  Our curriculum encompasses a broad spectrum of Applied Mathematics courses, including discrete mathematics, abstract algebra, calculus, optimization, and a variety of mathematical subjects. Through these courses, you'll address the intricate challenges encountered in diverse fields such as data science, education, healthcare, environmental studies, and other practical domains.

Your instructional style will be marked by compassion, patience, and a sincere passion for sharing knowledge. As a versatile educator with expertise in applied mathematics, you may also undertake the role of guiding undergraduate and graduate students in their research endeavours.

To thrive in this role, you must possess a PhD, demonstrate exceptional interpersonal abilities and exhibit a passion for imparting real-world life experiences.
