About the team

The School of Human Sciences is excited to announce a significant hiring initiative, inviting applications for up to four tenure-track positions to bolster our strategic vision in teaching and research. As we expand our research focus to “Human health and thriving in the face of stress and environmental Change”, we are keen on recruiting new academics who are engaged in basic, translational, clinical, and/or population research aligned with the School’s priority areas: Anatomy, Human Biology, Physiology, Neuroscience, Sport Science, Exercise and Health. 

About the opportunity

Candidates will play an instrumental role in our teaching programs, contributing to both undergraduate and graduate levels and driving forward our research activity. We hold a priority interest in individuals with expertise across the following areas: anatomy, neuroscience, physiology, and exercise psychology/public health. We also hold a significant interest in academics with teaching and research experience in imaging and data analytics.

Your contributions will play a crucial role in the ongoing development of our academic and research endeavours at the School of Human Sciences. 

To be considered for this opportunity, you will demonstrate:

  • PhD in an academic field relevant to the discipline or other higher professional qualifications appropriate to their discipline
  • Preferred area of cognate teaching expertise in any of anotomy, neuroscience, physiology, exercise psychology/public health, imaging and data analytics
  • Ability to deliver innovative teaching approaches, assessment and materials for units and courses 
  • A demonstrable track record in excellence in research evidenced by peer-reviewed journal articles published in high quality journals relative to opportunity  
  • A demonstrable emerging track record of successful competitive funding application   
  • Evidence of successful supervision or co-supervision of HDR students, relative to opportunity    
  • Experience and ability to teach into at least one of the priority cognate areas at undergraduate and postgraduate level
