The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Lecturer to join Action Lab in the Department of Human-Centred Computing within the Faculty of Information Technology. The lecturer will contribute to teaching in the area of software development for web and/or mobile devices. 

Reporting directly to the Head of Department, you will conduct world-class research in civic technologies through the conduct and supervision of research, securing funding for research, and dissemination and engagement activities. 

In order to be successful in this position, you must have a doctoral qualification in human-computer interaction, and a masters or undergraduate qualification in computer science, or closely related technical disciplines/equivalent accreditation and standing.

You will possess a high level of interpersonal skills, and a demonstrated ability to work positively and cooperatively with students, internal and external teams and external organisations with teaching experience in a tertiary environment. You will also have a track record of publication at internationally leading venues and research collaboration with NGOs and government bodies. 

This role is a full-time position; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.
