Overview

The discipline of Computing and Security within the School of Science has a growing program of high-quality computer science teaching and research.  ECU has a world recognised (and growing) profile in research in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML): this appointment will enhance this profile, by appointing a suitable candidate who can contribute to the research activities of our Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (CAIML). 

Our courses are informed by an active research program, with much of the related research orienting around key thematic areas of artificial intelligence, machine learning, computer vision and data mining.  The successful applicant will contribute by directly supporting our growing computer science education portfolio – across our on-campus, on-line and remote international campuses.  

This position offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated academic to pursue teaching and research in a growing area of national and international strategic importance.

Applications are encouraged from those who have at least three years of post-PhD academic experience including teaching and learning responsibilities and a research track record commensurate with the level of appointment.

Benefits & Remuneration

This position attracts remuneration of $105,832 - $125,043 (ALEVB) plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
