  • Full-time, one (1) year fixed term contract
  • Commencement Salary: $104,838 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)

About the Role

This teaching focused position is responsible for the development, delivery and coordination of courses within STEM’s undergraduate, honours and postgraduate programs in the Aviation Program. The position will contribute independently and as part of a team to support STEM’s teaching and learning outcomes in the Aviation discipline, with a particular focus on Aviation Law.

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead and contribute to the design and development of engaging, relevant and technology-enhanced curricula for identified programs and courses
  • Effectively undertake administrative duties related to teaching activities of identified courses and programs
  • Undertake course coordination and/or provide leadership to other academic staff in the teaching team
  • Deliver high-quality teaching and implement innovative teaching approaches

Essential Skills and Experience

  • A postgraduate degree or relevant and commensurate industry/discipline experience in Aviation Law, or a closely related function
  • Demonstrated ability and experience in teaching, including design and preparation of teaching activities and resources, in the field of Aviation Law
  • Understanding of and experience in using a range of contemporary teaching methodologies, including digital techniques where appropriate
  • High-level communication skills including demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with team members, colleagues, and external parties
  • Demonstrated commitment to teaching and experience with supporting students from a variety of cultural and ethnics backgrounds
