Curtin’s School of Nursing is the longest established school of nursing in the Australian university sector. The school delivers a range of undergraduate courses in nursing, oral health therapy and paramedicine; and specialist postgraduate courses.


Your new Role

This position is specifically to teach the Advanced Wound Care unit in the undergraduate nursing program.


In this role you will
  • Deliver high quality teaching to undergraduate students within the Nursing courses.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing reflective improvement in teaching.
  • Conduct tutorials, practical classes, demonstrations, workshops, student field excursions, clinical sessions, as appropriate, which stimulate and foster student learning.
  • Mark and assess student work.
  • Contribute to curriculum innovation and content design.

To be considered for this you would need to hold a Grad Certificate or Master in Wound, Ostomy and Continence Practice or Master of Wound Management and evidence of current clinical wound management experience.

You will require current work rights in Australia that match the tenure of this role.

  • Registered with AHPRA (or the equivalent Australian health professional regulatory authority).
  • Grad Certificate or Master in Wound, Ostomy and Continence Practice or Master of Wound Management and evidence of current clinical wound management experience.
  • Demonstrated high level teaching skill and a demonstrated reflective approach to teaching delivery.
  • An understanding of pedagogical theory and contemporary educational practice relevant to the discipline and experience of scholarship in teaching.
  • Demonstrated experience to undertake unit coordination role.
  • Demonstrated high level communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to the development of a collegial and supportive working environment and the ability to interact with students and staff with cross cultural sensitivity.
  • Demonstrated commitment to applying relevant and applicable policies, procedures and legislation in the day-to-day performance of the functions of this position.
