About the role:

Lifelong Learning, is focused on both operational management and innovation in short form learning at Deakin, using a holistic approach to deliver and improve lifelong learning and career development experiences that strengthen Deakin’s brand worldwide. The Learning Support Lead coordinates the development and delivery of Deakin short courses, delivered on open learning platforms, in collaboration with Deakin academics, industry partners and casuals. You will be responsible for the management of platforms, processes and stakeholders that support delivery of short form learning, troubleshooting issues and lead projects that improve learning experience.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, analytical, project management, relationship management and technical ability in learning technologies and EdTech platforms.

As a Learning Support Lead you will:

  • Design, develop and maintain processes and platforms that support that provide an improved experience in collaboration with staff, learners and teaching teams related to the use of EdTech platforms and learning technologies.
  • Coordinate projects related to the delivery of short courses across various learning technologies, including developing project plans, tracking progress, and providing regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders and key influential individuals, both internal and external the University
  • Seek feedback and identify opportunities for improvements in processes and practice, to ensure innovative responses to emerging short form learning challenges.
  • Ensure quality assurance processes across learning systems are securely managed and users have the necessary and accurate dispersed information, to successfully register and complete a range of short courses.
  • Collaborate with other teams and departments to ensure a seamless user experience for short course learners, project stakeholders and faculty, and to identify opportunities for process and learning design improvements.

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • A Degree with subsequent relevant experience; or
  • Extensive experience and specialist knowledge and/or broad knowledge in education, technical or administrative fields
  • Experience working collaboratively and effectively with multiple internal and external stakeholders and/or clients from business, government or community sectors and students.
  • Knowledge of systems, processes and business improvement capabilities
  • Experience designing effective solutions to complex business and technical problems.
