Salary package: $109,945 - $117,567 per annum plus 17% superannuation
Term: Full-Time, Continuing (Contingent Funded) (up to 2 years)

The Position
The Knowledge Broker will play a pivotal role in the Sustainable Farms initiative through developing and implementing strategic approaches to translating research to support evidence-based approaches for restoring biodiversity on farms. The position will work at multiple levels summarising and integrating research and decision-maker priorities into clear and actionable recommendations and developing relationships and collaborations that use research in the planning and implementation of new policies and programs.

The Person
The successful applicant will have an outstanding background of translating and disseminating complex information to a wide range of stakeholder audiences. They will have excellent knowledge of natural resource management sector, and a record of bringing groups in the sector together to exchange knowledge and collaborate on project development and processes to deliver organisational change.

The School
The Fenner School of Environment & Society conducts world-class, interdisciplinary research and education on complex environment-society systems. Sustainable Farms is a trans-disciplinary research and extension, cross-college initiative based in the Fenner School. Our mission is to support the improvement of natural features on farms in the temperate woodlands, to enhance biodiversity, increase farm profitability and improve farmer wellbeing. By working collaboratively with the environmental organisations and industry this position will support the capacity of the ANU to contribute to halting and reversing biodiversity declines on farms in Australia.

The College
The ANU College of Science  encompasses the disciplines of: Astronomy, Biology, Chemistry, Earth Sciences, Environment and Society, Mathematics, Physics, and Science Communication and is also home to a number of cross-disciplinary and specialist Institutes and Centres.  Staff and students within the ANU College of Science conduct research and deliver a research-led education program that encompasses the breadth of the sciences, supported by extensive international networks and by world-class facilities.
