Sir John Monash Scholarship for Excellence
This scholarship is awarded in memory of Klaus Abbink, a Professor in Economics at Monash and a Director of The Monash Laboratory for Experimental Economics (MonLEE). Professor Abbink was regarded as a great supervisor and teacher for his students, always passing on his exceptional critical thinking and research principles. He was very patient and provided consistent care and equal effort for everyone that crossed his path.

Am I eligible?
You must be one of the following:
- An Australian citizen
- A New Zealand citizen
- Australian permanent resident
- Australian humanitarian visa holder
- An International student
You must meet the following criteria:
- A student commencing a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) or Bachelor of Economics (Honours) in the Monash Business School at a Monash campus in Australia.
- WAM 80+ (Direct entry International students)

- $10,000 for the one-year duration of Honours.

- Awarded based on academic achievement.
To retain this scholarship:
- You must maintain a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 70 each semester.
