Salary package: $82,371 - $94,817 (pro rata) per annum plus 17% superannuation
Term: Part time (0.5FTE), 2 year Fixed term with the possibility of extension

The Position

The Communication’s Officer’s role is to ensure that IWF research is communicated effectively to a range of audiences, including policy makers, industry, media, supporting institutions and the wider community. The role involves developing and promoting events, creating engaging digital content (including for social media), engaging with media, supporting strategic communication with government and research partners, and broadly facilitating internal and external engagement with the Institute.

The successful candidate will have exceptional relationship-building and interpersonal skills and be capable of using language very effectively.  

The School

The IWF mission is to support sustainable water futures and to identify transformative, innovative and robust strategies to address the water challenges of today and tomorrow.  The IWF brings together researchers in futures focused water related positions from across sciences, social sciences, humanities and public policy within the ANU and has established research partnerships with many state and federal water agencies.

The College

The ANU College of Science  encompasses the disciplines of: Astronomy, Biology, Chemistry, Earth Sciences, Environment and Society, Mathematics, Physics, and Science Communication and is also home to a number of cross-disciplinary and specialist Institutes and Centres.  Staff and students within the ANU College of Science conduct research and deliver a research-led education program that encompasses the breadth of the sciences, supported by extensive international networks and by world-class facilities.
