The Job Role:   

In this role you will learn to do the following tasks; 

  • Undertake basic problem diagnoses, corrections and support to resolve
    incidents/issues as required, and escalate those that cannot be resolved
    to ensure resolution within a timely manner
  • Assist with problem determination and root cause analysis as directed to
    ensure permanent corrective actions are implemented appropriately  
  • Assist in the formulation of infrastructure standards and guidelines to
    support the development of effective infrastructure strategies and
    procedures 
  • Assist with backup and recovery procedures and plan and undertake
    effective Disaster Recovery and testing procedures to ensure effective
    Disaster Recovery plans are developed, documented, tested and
    implemented
  • Make recommendations and assist with infrastructure systems, patches
    and upgrades to ensure the development and maintenance of effective
    technology infrastructure within the Westpac Group 
  • Provide technical assistance and insights for effective management of
    Infrastructure service requirements 
  • Assist in governance and planning of major proposed changes to ensure
    successful implementation and transition of infrastructure changes 
  • Assist compliance processes to ensure adequate controls exist

Qualifications:  

Working towards a tertiary qualification in IT or related discipline, or equivalent experience 

This role amounts to $26,000 tax-free for an Undergraduate working full-time for six months.
