The University of Adelaide Enterprise Agreement 2017-2021 will apply to a successful candidate’s employment at the University.  The University recently temporarily varied its Enterprise Agreement.  Please be advised that the salary range, along with other conditions associated with this position, may change in accordance with the variation to the Enterprise Agreement.

Exciting opportunity to join a small, supportive and high performing team, providing strategic support and advice to senior IT management across a broad range of governance related matters.

Receiving broad direction and working with a degree of autonomy, the IT Governance Specialist will be responsible for the development, implementation, communication and maintenance of governance, risk and compliance policies, processes and procedures and the provision of specialist advice and support to senior IT management and other key stakeholders within the Information Technology and Digital Services branch.


To be successful you will need:

  • Demonstrated understanding and extensive experience in undertaking governance audit, risk, compliance and quality assurance related activities in a large and complex organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and analyse complex information, strong financial acumen and experience with undertaking commercial analysis and interpreting financial reports and budget related information.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organisation, including senior executive and establish strong working relationships with stakeholders to achieve required outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and with initiative to navigate ambiguity and use strategic problem solving skills set priorities and balance the demands of a complex working environment.
