  • Commencement Salary: $119,598 per annum (plus up to 17% superannuation)

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Deputy Director ICT Support Services this is a strategic leadership position which is responsible for the development and delivery of effective and innovative end user workspace and general teaching space support services which facilitate the conduct of support teaching, learning and research.

Core Responsibilities

  • Manage, lead and motivate teams of information technologists supporting the IT desktop and incident management environment
  • Provide consultancy and advice to senior stakeholders across the University to ensure that the IT desktop and support environment is appropriate
  • Develop and promote ISTS policies and strategies that enhance, secure, maintain and utilise the IT desktop environment
  • Manage internal and external Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) and lead service delivery performance improvements
  • Manage the Standard Operating Environment (staff/students) for the University’s computing devices to ensure that legislative and University operational requirements are met.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Experience in developing and implementing strategies and policies for the delivery of quality services
  • Significant professional technical expertise in a complex networked computing environment
  • Experience in project management, planning, organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in the management of capital and recurrent budgets relating to infrastructure replacement and maintenance
  • Experience of the ITIL service management framework, particularly in relation to incident, change and problem management.
