Interstate Student Relationship Officer - Victoria

The Division of Future Students exists to bring together all stages of the future student journey. The key objective is to deliver a more cohesive experience for students, from first contact through to enrolment, with a strategic approach to marketing, recruitment, and admissions.

The Opportunity

As part of the Student Recruitment team, you will undertake a critical role in the implementation of the University’s Interstate student recruitment strategy.  The role will involve inter and intrastate travel as well as spending time at all University campuses and locations.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Support recruitment and sales strategies for engaging prospective students in the Victorian market.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with prospective students and non-school leaver markets, and their key influencers.
  • Manage an individual pipeline of schools with full accountability to meet application and enrolment targets.
  • Drive leads through effectively communicating and selling all University courses and associated elements at events.
  • Play a supporting role in staffing key internal and external University events.
  • Provide regular reports and recommendations to the Head, Interstate Recruitment.­

Your Application

To be successful in the role, your application will need to demonstrate;

  • A tertiary qualification in sales, marketing, management or relevant field or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Experience in individual, solution selling in a customer-oriented environment, ideally in Australian Higher Education.
  • Initiative, problem solving and negotiation skills.
  • Strong organisation and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to confidently present to large groups and influence outcomes at all levels of organisations, and liaise with people of various skills, experience and background to achieve win-win outcomes.

Remuneration

Appointment to this role will be at HEO 6 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $107,061 comprising base salary within the range of $84,386 to $91,505 plus 17% superannuation.
