INTERNATIONAL RESEARCH COMPLIANCE COORDINATOR
$82,658 - $89,180 PA (HEW 6)
An exciting opportunity exists within Research Services for a talented professional with an interest in contracts and compliance to join our team. The new positon of International Research Compliance Co-ordinator will work closely with the Research Contract Adviser and Manager, Research Administration to establish research-related foreign interference processes and practices; related administration and record management; coordination of ECU’s foreign relation compliance and reporting for research projects; facilitating post award grant administration; negotiation of research contracts with a variety of organisations; and contract management. This is a great opportunity for someone who is willing to take on a new role and develop it, creating new processes and procedures and integrating them so that ECU can align with new and evolving changes to compliance for university interactions with international organisations.
To be successful in this role you will be an enthusiastic team player with strong administrative skills who is able to work with various internal and external stakeholders. The successful person will be will be able to work flexibly and independently and demonstrate initiative whilst knowing when to seek advice. You will have strong interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders including delivering presentations to small groups. Ideally, you will have a sound understanding of the tertiary research environment and / or international matters relating to the higher education sector. This role will work closely with small team as well as the Research Contract Adviser, but will also work with a level of independence.
To be successful in the role you will need:
• Strong administrative skills developed in a complex policy or regulatory environment.
• The ability to interpret and apply policies and regulations to ensure that the organisation will be able to comply with international research requirements.
• Relevant qualifications and / or experience in research administration and / or contract environment.
• Sound understanding of higher education sector relating to research and / or international matters.
• Great communication skills, both written and verbal for contract management, reporting and compliance requirements to stakeholders.

Benefits & Remuneration
This full-time, ongoing position attracts remuneration of $82,658 - $89,180 pa plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
