About the Role
The International Recruitment Officer position is a key operational support role within UniSA International. The position will design, implement, coordinate and deliver international recruitment activities that are designed to achieve strategic growth in international student numbers across a specified region
This current vacancy is in Region 3 (North Asia and Onshore International) and will be critical in further expanding the growth in Hong Kong and Taiwan and supporting the potential growth to be gained from the wider region including mainland China and onshore in Australia.

Core Responsibilities
- Coordinate and implement international recruitment plans and initiatives and ensure that activity is measured, evaluated and meets key measurable targets
- Manage recruitment activities, including agents and representatives within protocol, policy and legislative guidelines
- Provide input and advice into the Unit’s planning and forecasting processes related to international student recruitment
- Identify and recommend to the Manager: International Recruitment, potential new markets and business development opportunities designed to grow the University’s market share of international students
- Develop and maintain high end relationships with representatives, partners and other organisations involved in the recruitment of international students, together with those involved in the general marketing and promotion of the University of South Australia. Conduct all internal and external relationships in a professional, pro-active and responsive manner
Essential Skills and Experience
- Appropriate tertiary qualification(s) in marketing or a related field, or demonstrated equivalent experience, knowledge and skills
- Exposure to and knowledge of international student recruitment practices, including achievements in implementing promotional activities on time and on budget, evaluating international marketing plans and processes, and making recommendations for improvement
- Proven ability in developing and executing innovative recruitment activities, including use of social media in recruitment campaigns, displaying a cutting-edge and non-traditional approach, and ensuring the organisation stands out from its competitors
- Demonstrated project management skills including experience in targeted market research, sound investigative abilities, advanced writing and reporting skills, and an analytical approach and creative thinking style
- Demonstrated ability to think creatively to identify and connect with new opportunities to generate increased market share within the international student recruitment environment
