Your new role
An exciting opportunity exists for a creative International Marketing Support Officer to join our vibrant Marketing Team!
You will be joining the International Marketing team within University Marketing, a close-knit group made up of curious, creative minds; passionate about winning as a team, motivated by new challenges and committed to creating positive impact.
In this role you will facilitate the development and implementation of a broad range of marketing programs in support of Curtin University’s international recruitment function. The ideal candidate will have prior experience across a broad spectrum of marketing skills, including digital marketing, branding, content marketing and production. You will be an organized multitasker able to handle many diverse projects at once and meet tight deadlines.
In this role you will:
- Receive in-bound requests for International Marketing activity, responding to internal and external stakeholders in a timely and professional manner, working with the supervisor on managing requests and managing the marketing activities calendar.
- Liaise with other University Marketing teams and media agencies, to support the implementation of marketing projects.
- Assist with the coordination of recruitment/promotional and/or sponsorship events including promotional advertising.
- Support key event and production coordination aspects for both on and off-campus activities including student talent recruitment and engagement, logistics, venue bookings, organising materials, confirming student talent, etc.
- Responsible for stock control and ensuring office spaces and storerooms are kept neat and tidy and within occupational health and safety guidelines.
- Administer, process and maintain records and relevant forms in a timely and accurate manner to support international student content marketing.
- Ensure all material produced is of high quality best practice standard, is aligned with Curtin’s mission and values, and that information is accurate and consistent across all publishing channels and that it complies with Curtin brand identity style guidelines, user experience and accessibility standards and legislative requirements.
- Participate in workshops with the team and stakeholders to assist in the development of student user journey for international markets.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge on Curtin courses in addition to opportunities and programs relevant to new university students.
- Assist the International Marketing Manager with reporting on monthly and end of campaign reporting.
- Work closely with central brand, platforms and content production areas to ensure specific marketing programs are aligned with your areas strategic priorities.

- Undertake other activities which the incumbent might reasonably be expected to do, and which are consistent with the accountabilities and responsibilities as listed above.
- Completion of a diploma qualification with relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Strong time and project management skills and proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines and manage multiple projects.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with colleagues and clients at all levels with cross cultural sensitivity.
- Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team and to provide a client focused service to staff and stakeholders.
- Well-developed verbal and written communications skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Problem solving skills and high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Demonstrated computer literacy with skills in in a wide range of applications including word processing and/or spreadsheet packages.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and design software programs such as Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Excellent copywriting skills and a passion for crafting compelling narratives that drive people to action (Desirable).
- Fluent in English and a second language (Desirable).
