About the opportunity
The University of Sydney has an ambitious 10-year strategy, and we are looking for an accomplished communications professional to join our internal communications team and help engage our staff in this vision.
We are seeking an Internal Communications Manager who will be responsible for the day-to-day management of University-wide internal communications strategies and projects, and channels to effectively inform and engage staff and current student audiences. As 2IC, this role will work closely with the Head of Internal Communications to provide communications advice to senior stakeholders and manage team resources.

- strong strategic communications experience and expertise including in internal communications in a large and complex environment
- proven experience managing team members and developing their careers
- proven ability to effectively develop and maintain relationships with senior executives and a multitude of stakeholders, often balancing competing priorities
- outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills to deliver messaging on a variety of channels to varied audiences with exceptional attention to detail
- Strong writing skills
- flexible, solutions-focused mindset and good judgement for reputational risk and opportunity.
