Deakin’s Digital Services team drives the digital innovation at Deakin. It ensures the University has the technical capabilities, process maturity, and digital project expertise to harness trends like flexibility, mobility, collaboration and personalisation. Our Digital Platforms team is currently seeking to appoint a MuleSoft Integration Developer who will work collaboratively with other teams in Digital Services and key stakeholders in the University to develop and improve business capability by designing integration and interface solutions, on a Mule Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) infrastructure, that supports the enterprise architecture.

Your key responsibilities will include, and not limited to:

  • Define, estimate and manage work tasks within projects, and deliver completed work on-time to an agreed project schedule.
  • Provide advice on integration design strategies and best practice approaches.
  • Contribute to maintaining development coding standards and methodologies, including performing peer code reviews and mentoring of other technical staff as appropriate.
  • Provide advice on configurations, technical designs, development, testing, and upgrades of enterprise integrations built and/or supported by the Applications and Integration team.
  • Investigate technical and operational issues, providing timely and quality resolutions.

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • Tertiary Level Degree in computing related discipline, or equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Experience with Mulesoft ESB and/or Anypoint Platform development or support.
  • Experience in building integration design patterns and designing, developing and supporting Web Services – SOAP and REST API’s and implementing solutions using Microservice Architectures, Event Driven Architectures and messaging brokers.
  • Experience with Mulesoft Anypoint Platform development and support.
  • Experience with DevOps practices such as code versioning, packaging, test driven development (TDD), continuous integration, test automation, code analysis, and code quality metrics.
  •  Experience with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) in large enterprise environment, working with technical team.
