  • Full-time, fixed term contract until 1 September 2023
  • Commencement Salary: $65,766 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)

This position is responsible for undertaking a broad range of administrative activities to support the Institute’s research and consultancy projects.

Core Responsibilities

  • Provide advice to key stakeholders on matters relating to the interpretation and application of the University’s research administration policies and procedures
  • Undertake a broad range of administrative activities to support researchers in managing their research and consultancy projects
  • Use the University’s information systems to access, retrieve and interpret data to generate reports for key internal and external stakeholders and respond to staff queries
  • Provide administrative support to the Director: FII, Manager: FII, Team Leader: FII and other staff within the Institute including preparing presentations, arranging couriers and car bookings, preparation and distribution of agendas and minutes for meetings, mail outs, mail distribution, stationery supplies and resource maintenance
  • Act as the first point of contact for incoming enquiries to the Institute from within and external to the University, including email, telephone and in person. Prioritise action and respond to enquiries, as appropriate

Essential Skills and Experience
  • Post-secondary qualifications in a relevant discipline or demonstrated equivalent skills, knowledge and experience
  • Demonstrated previous experience working in an administrative role in a team based service environment
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills including experience in writing briefings, reports and correspondence, and ability to liaise with people at all levels both internal and external to the organisation
  • Demonstrated organisational and time management skills to manage multiple priorities under broad direction
  • Research and analytical skills and experience in the interpretation and application of policies and procedures
