  • Commencement Salary: $65,766 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)


About the Role

Located at the Mawson Lakes Campus the Institute Administrative Officer is responsible for a broad range of administrative activities and the provision of support for a team of researchers in managing their research and consultancy projects at the Future Industries Institute (FII) .

Core Responsibilities

  • Provide high level administrative support to the Director, Manager, Team Leader and other staff within the Institute
  • Provide advice to key stakeholders on matters relating to the interpretation and application of research administration policies and procedures
  • Act as the first point of contact for incoming enquiries to the Institute
  • Provide administrative support to research staff and students in the preparation, editing and submission of research publications
  • Provide administrative support to research students and supervisors to ensure completion of administrative requirements relevant to their program

Essential Skills and Experience
  • Post-secondary qualifications in a relevant discipline or demonstrated equivalent skills, knowledge and experience
  • Demonstrated previous experience working in an administrative role in a team based service environment
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills including experience in writing briefings, reports and correspondence, and ability to liaise with people at all levels both internal and external to the organisation
  • Demonstrated achievement in the provision of high quality customer service and implementing quality improvement initiatives
