  • Full-time, fixed term contract until December 2022
  • Salary range: $80,477 - $88,634 per annum (plus superannuation)

About the Role

Support the delivery of effective and innovative information technology network services, both across the university and to external clients, to support teaching, learning and research.

The Information Technologist supports and trouble-shoots the Network Service environment and engages and communicates with the Manager: Network Services, ISTS Senior Information Technologists and University staff, to ensure appropriate network solutions and services are delivered to meet business needs and objectives.

You will work closely with IT staff at all levels and across all platforms as required to promote policy and develop strategies relating to the Network Services environment.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Relevant tertiary qualification
  • Substantial experience in the development and support of enterprise information systems within a complex networked computing environment
  • Understanding of the technical operation of voice systems
  • Experience working in critical data centre environments
  • The ability to think logically and apply creative problem-solving skills
  • Time management skills and the ability to maintain productivity with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to productively collaborate in a team environment
