About the opportunity

           

The Human Resources’ Casual and Affiliate Transactions team is taking on a new initiative and has an exciting opportunity for a passionate individual to join the Casual Academics Administration team.  The primary function of this position is to provide transactional support to The University’s casual workforce of Academics. This includes managing the review and approval of all casual academic timesheets to ensure consistent and effective service delivery and high levels of customer satisfaction are achieved.

Reporting to the Team Lead of this department, your key responsibilities may include but not be limited to:

  • provision of timely and accurate transactional service, processing high volumes of timesheet reviews, approvals, and associated tasks, ensuring on time delivery and seamless process
  • administrative services such as staff data management, processing separations, onboarding/offboarding, employee documentation, contract variations, leave, termination, recognition of service, and attending to general enquiries
  • responds to immediate issues, providing timely support and ensuring appropriate action is taken, issues are resolved efficiently, and providing recommendations and solutions on a range of operational issues
  • proactively reviews processes regularly and provides solutions to the team to improve these where necessary, implements approved modifications and streamlines processes where possible
  • provides relevant guidance and accurate advice to staff and stakeholders on the application of the University’s policies, procedures and frameworks, compliance and of any necessary changes to legislative requirements
  • contributes positive ways of working and cross-collaboration engagement within and external to Human Resources, presenting a united approach to service delivery.

About you
In this role, you will demonstrate exceptional knowledge in a HR Shared Services environment supporting similar functions. As a values aligned team member, we are seeking an individual whom:

  • act with a spirit of service excellence, understanding client needs, delivering quality outcomes, escalating as appropriate, and providing client solutions in a timely manner
  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field &/or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
