Overview

Edith Cowan University (ECU) is a large multi-campus university producing world-class research and delivering more than 250 diverse courses across eight (8) teaching schools and fourteen (14) professional service areas. The Human Resources Services Centre (HRSC) provides HR specialist advice and support to all schools and professional areas (the internal stakeholders) and consists of five teams: HR Services (operational), HR Partnerships (HR Business Partners), Work Health and Safety, Employee Relations and Workforce Strategy and Capability. The Human Resources Services Centre encompasses a range of functions to enable the University to effectively achieve its strategic priorities.

This role is available as a fixed-term contract until 30 June 2024, to provide Parental Leave cover, to assist in supporting a number of initiatives including the workforce planning and analytics function. The HR Data Analyst will play a vital role in leveraging the University’s HRIS data capabilities to provide insights that supports evidence-based decision making. Confident with the interpretation and presentation of data, the HR Data Analyst will also understand systems and provide insights and advice to the HR Business (Planning) Analyst regarding system capabilities, improvements and data optimisation. 

The successful candidate will have an analytics background and be confident with a range of data management systems (ideally in an HR environment). In addition, the successful candidate will demonstrate: 

  • Experience with providing insights and the ability to anticipate data needs in changing environments 
  • Capability to work collaboratively and consultatively, demonstrating the ability to interpret business data needs and design fit-for-purpose reporting 

You will work with a team that have diverse backgrounds and areas of expertise, collaborating on projects to deliver expertise and advice across ECU work areas.

Benefits & Remuneration

This part-time (0.7FTE), fixed-term position attracts remuneration of $85,551 to $92,301 p.a. pro-rata (HEW 6) plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
