  • Undergraduate teaching including designing, conducting and moderating assessment; implementing improvements informed by peer review, course evaluation and/or student feedback.

  • Professional activities and/or peer-reviewed research activities appropriate to the discipline including publishing research results in high-quality outlets as lead or co-author.

  • Membership of committees, working parties or other service duties as required.

  • Adhere to the Academic Expectations and Development Framework of RMIT Vietnam.

  • Master Degree (for Associate Lecturer) or Ph.D. (for Lecturer level) hourly rate positions – in a design related discipline or equivalent relevant qualification

  • The Skillset required would be a Designer with a broad background in all areas of design, including graphic design, visual communication, Adobe suite, typography and illustration. Knowledge of 3d design, modelling (specifically Blender) and motion graphics would be beneficial.

  • English is the language of teaching and communication at RMIT Vietnam. For this role, the minimum requirement is IELTS (Academic) with a score of at least 7.0 (with no individual competency score in speaking, reading, writing, listening, less than 6.5).

  • Industry or professional experience.  

  • Excellent team player

  • Culturally agile.


We offer competitive Vietnamese hourly rates for our Vietnamese staff below:

VND hourly rate per actual working hour

Associate Lecturer: 628,300 VND per hour

Lecturer: 782,800 VND per hour

The hourly rate you receive is based on an “actual working hour”.

For every hour of teaching, you will be paid for two hours.  The two hours related to 1-hour teaching and 1 hour of lesson preparation, marking, and administration.

Expatriate candidates in Vietnam can apply for this role however to be successful in obtaining a work permit you will need to demonstrate the relevant qualification and at least 5 years of relevant teaching experience in this discipline.
