  • Salary range: Level 7 $90,862 - $100,814 p.a. (pro rata) plus 17% superannuation

About the team  

University Hall (UniHall) is the residential college of the University of Western Australia and home to over 750 students and staff. UniHall is renowned for its diverse and inclusive student population and prides itself on being a place for everyone.

The Residential Life Team is integral to developing and sustaining a vibrant living-learning community that promotes diversity and inclusion. By fostering and supporting pastoral care needs and maintaining a safe environment, University Hall promotes and enhances opportunities for student growth and success.

About the opportunity  

You will play a key role in fostering a safe, energetic and harmonious living and learning environment for residents. You will plan, develop, review and implement University Hall cocurricular programs as well as provide pastoral care to all residents from a diverse range of cultural, national, socio-economic and educational backgrounds.

To be considered for this role, you will demonstrate: 

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in a relevant field or equivalent competency
  • Substantial relevant experience at an appropriate level
  • Experience coordinating events, working with young adults from diverse backgrounds, and sound knowledge of risk management principles
  • Ability to deal with sensitive issues and maintain discretion and confidentiality
  • Sound knowledge of the issues that affect the personal, academic and social lives of young people
  • This position is required to live onsite in self-contained accommodation provided by University Hall
