Head of Financial Performance

The Position:

A member of the Finance Executive team, through this commercially important role your team will support the CFO in the delivery of strong outcomes to a broad stakeholder group. In particular, your role will play a key role in the ongoing development of the University’s financial strategy and driving financially sustainable operating and budget models whilst also continuing to further enhance the reporting and analytical capabilities of the finance team. Your core duties will include:

  • Driving a financially resilient performance culture with internal stakeholders;
  • Leadership of the Business Partnering and Analytics teams;
  • Decision support, including strategic and commercial analysis;
  • Budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial modelling;
  • Provision of reports and advice to the Executive and Senate;
  • Aid in the fostering a continuous improvement culture.

About You:

A professionally qualified accountant you will possess significant relevant experience in senior financial leadership, probably from within a large and complex organisation.  Your key attributes will include:

  • Extensive experience in strategic planning, financial analysis, budgeting, financial planning and management reporting;
  • High level of commercial and business acumen 
  • High-level experience in project leadership; 
  • A track record of ongoing process improvement;
  • Well developed leadership abilities;
  • First class interpersonal and communication skills
