(Level A) $72,829 to $97,927 or (Level B) $102,952 to $121,779 per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation applies.

Fixed term-part time position (0.6 FTE) available for 12 months.

The successful candidate will work under the general direction of the Head of Research Adelaide Rural Clinical School (ARCS) to coordinate qualitative research projects related (but not limited) to rural medical education and ensure the successful performance of the ARCS research program. Candidates already living or working in a rural location in South Australia will be prioritised. The successful candidate will work in one of the ARCS rural offices (Nairne, Port Augusta, Port Lincoln, Port Pirie, Whyalla, Adelaide), and regular travelling to these and other ARCS sites may be required.

To be successful you will need:

  • PhD or equivalent qualification in one of the following areas: education, medicine, allied health, nursing, health sciences, social sciences, public health, psychology Key selection criteria.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct independent qualitative research, including project management, qualitative data collection, and data analysis.
  • Strong track record of high-quality publications, reports and/or conference presentations, especially in the field of health education research.
  • Commitment to travel regularly to rural locations in SA where the Adelaide Rural Clinical School develops research activities, especially Port Augusta.
  • Demonstrated experience in the preparation of successful proposal submissions to external funding bodies.
