  • Level 8, up to four full-time appointments available on an ongoing basis
  • Base salary range: $103,364 - $112,981 p.a. plus 17% superannuation

About the team

The Office of the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Global Engagement leads initiatives focused on achievement of global engagement and the internationalisation strategy. The team works collaboratively across the University to progress international student recruitment, research and industry engagement initiatives. It establishes strategic partnerships and maintains strong relationships with key education, research, public and private sector organisations worldwide.

About the opportunity

You will work closely with the Associate Director, Global Engagement, as well as internal and external stakeholders to drive global engagement activities across a specific region and countries. These activities will execute the University’s international strategy and the more focused plans-on-a-page to achieve specific strategic goals and objectives. You will support the Office of the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Global Engagement) to develop and implement UWA’s Internationalisation strategy, as well as the College of Schools in their internationalisation agenda.

About you 

You will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of consultation and negotiation skills. You will also have excellent written and verbal communication skills, including confidence in public speaking and the ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships.

To be considered for this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated equivalent competency
  • Extensive management experience at an appropriate level
  • Comprehensive understanding of the International Education Sector including key issues, policies and opportunities
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills to effectively plan and implement multiple projects
  • Ability to lead and manage, demonstrate initiative and work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Ability to contribute to long term planning and strategic direction at an influential level
  • Ability to develop and manage key relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to navigate complex organisations and procedures to achieve beneficial outcomes for stakeholders
