About the Role:

Working within a collaborative leadership team and reporting to the Chief TAFE Officer, this key role within the Office of the Chief VU TAFE is committed to providing excellence and driven by a passion for innovation.

As the General Manager, you will be responsible for leading the business development and project management efforts of VU TAFE. This role demands a strategic thinker with a proven track record in securing industry partnerships, navigating government funding opportunities, and overseeing successful project implementations.

This full-time position will be offered on a 5-year fixed term contract basis. A highly attractive remuneration package is on offer, including an employer superannuation contribution of 17%.

  • Experience in strong and effective people leadership skills as well as managing and shaping high performance teams.
  • Experience in identifying, applying for and securing government funding from various sources.
  • Proven capability to cultivate and sustain robust network connections and partnership arrangements.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage quality and compliance procedures that align with the standards of ASQA, VRQA and HESG.
  • High level interpersonal, cross cultural with clear, concise verbal and written communication skills including effective negotiation abilities to address issues collaboratively.
  • Experience in overseeing and managing significant projects from conception to completion.
