About This Opportunity  

We are seeking a motivated, reliable and customer focussed Future Students Officer to support the recruitment activities in the North Asia recruitment teams. The Future Students Officer (FSO) under the direction of the Regional Manager, Future Students will contribute to strategy development and implement a recruitment plan to achieve commencement targets in the designated region.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Build and enhance partnerships with schools, industry partners, UQ faculties and other organisational units to support student recruitment activities.

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of recruitment plans targeted towards the area of focus (eg undergraduate or postgraduate) to achieve recruitment targets.

  • Assist with providing timely intelligence, research trends and assess competitor activities to inform planning.

  • Provide accurate advice to prospective students about UQ programs and admissions information.

  • Work effectively to build and enhance relationships with channel partners (e.g. schools, institutions, industry, and government), segment influencers (e.g. parents and peers) and internal stakeholders to deliver recruitment initiatives to meet domestic recruitment targets.

  • Organise and coordinate student recruitment/engagement activities with stakeholders including, but not limited to masterclasses, virtual engagement events, career markets and expos, alumni engagement, information sessions, visits, outreach activities, campus experiences and other recruitment events.

  • Lead the development and implementation of conversion campaigns and tactics to improve conversion of new prospects.

  • Arrange logistics to ensure effective lead capture at recruitment events, further ensuring leads are effectively entered into an appropriate nurturing stream (CRM) to support conversion.

  • Assist with monitoring and assessing recruitment outcomes from initiatives including with channel partners.

This is a Full-time, Continuing position. At HEW Level 6, the full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range of $88,099.39 to $94,512.08 plus a generous super allowance of up to 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $103,076.28 – $110,579.13 per annum.  


About You

  • Completion of a degree in a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of experience and/or training. 

  • Proven experience to contribute to recruitment plans and implement successful initiatives through effective customer service and relationship management. 

  • Experience in providing market intelligence, conducting research, and gathering data to help assess recruitment initiatives and inform future strategies. 

  • Demonstrated skills to manage workload and implement recruitment initiatives including arranging logistics, preparing budgets, and solving problems to deliver initiatives on time and within budget. 

  • Ability to effectively develop and manage channel partner relationships to achieve business goals. 

  • Highly-developed organisational, analytical and problem solving skills event and ability to manage high volume workload.

  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team for shared outcomes and results. 

  • High level communication and intercultural skills with the ability to prepare concise reports, draft marketing content specific to the target region, and conduct presentations.

  • Knowledge of the Australian secondary and higher education sector.
