About the opportunity

The Future Students Officer (Outreach and Engagement) leads strategic initiatives to support the recruitment efforts of prospective students. With the collaboration of the Manager, Future Students, the Future Students Officer integrates knowledge from data to plan and allocate resourcing, leading to enhanced conversion rates. In addition, this forms and nurtures relationships with high schools within the Coffs Harbour region and beyond and will support the wider team on national initiatives. Core responsibilities include:

  • Effectively promote the University and its Faculties/Colleges to build the University’s reputational profile and increase awareness of brand, student options and successes.
  • Collate, report on and analyse data to develop an engagement plan for the region, informing future strategies and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate and deliver targeted promotional programs for identified markets, including engaging with schools, colleges and RTO’s within the region with clear messaging and defined outcomes, updated appropriately within the University’s CRM systems.

About you

The successful candidate will be a person who wants to make a difference through their professional work. You will have a background in education and/or sales, recruitment or business development and possess a genuine passion and drive for the engagement of future students with Southern Cross University. More specifically, you will have:

  • A degree in business, marketing or a relevant discipline; and experience in a sales related role, recruitment, business development, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated success utilising data to inform decision making and sales strategies, evidenced by high conversion rates.
  • Proven ability to effectively engage stakeholders to promote an organisation and build a brand image.
  • Strong computing skills and experience using customer relationship tools, including reporting and communication management.

Salary and benefits

  • Full-time continuing (permanent)
  • Located at Coffs Harbour Campus. Generous relocation support available.
  • HEW Level 6. The base salary ranges from $88,301 - $96,849 per annum, plus 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation. The total remuneration package is up to $113,313.
