About the opportunity

The University of South Australia (UniSA) is a globally connected and engaged university helping to solve the challenges of tomorrow.  At UniSA Allied Health and Human Performance and Clinical and Health Sciences, we are focused on shaping community wellbeing by educating future health professionals and delivering solutions-based research that addresses global health needs.

We are seeking expressions of interest for multiple casual positions of Fit Tester to join our team.  If you are successful, after initial training, you will conduct respiratory fit testing of N95 masks on individuals prior to them providing services in a healthcare setting.  By doing so, you will support the wider efforts of keeping current and future health workers safe during the COVID pandemic, ensuring a functioning health system and the continuity of care for patients.

Essential Skills, Experience and Requirements

  • A background in health, either as a current student or a graduate
  • At least a basic experience in service provision in a healthcare environment
  • Good interpersonal skills appropriate to working in a culturally diverse setting
  • Compliance with the emergency management directive in relation to COVID-19 vaccination as a condition of entry to the UniSA Health Clinics
