Exciting opportunity to join the Confucius Institute
Working under the general direction of the Office Manager, and part of a small team, the Project Officer is responsible for the coordination of a number of projects and programs at the Confucius Institute. The role involves the development and implementation of certain projects and programs including some budgeting and reporting under the direction of the Office Manager, event management, marketing, promotion and coordination with a wide variety of stakeholders in order to achieve successful outcomes. The role supports the Office Manager with community engagement and stakeholder relationships.
The Confucius Institute at The University of Adelaide promotes the learning of Chinese language and culture, and a broader and more informed understanding of China, both across South Australia and beyond. It seeks to build understanding of Chinese culture and Chinese language literacy within South Australia's schools, communities, businesses and government.
To be successful you will need:
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate projects and programs to deliver effective outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully coordinate and arrange events.
- Demonstrated ability of promoting and coordinating programs within education, community, government and/or business sectors.
- Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work with a broad range of stakeholders and diverse range of people and cultures.
- Fluency in English and Chinese Mandarin.
