About the team 

Accommodation and Commercial Services is a sub-portfolio within the division of Student Life and manages residential options for students & commercial operations for external customers and affiliated partners of the University.

About the opportunity 

As the appointee you will, under general direction, support the accounting, finance and reporting needs of several Student Life sub-portfolios including Student Success & Wellbeing, Student Services & Engagement, UWA Medical Centre and UWA Sport.  You will also assist in all aspects of financial and transactional processing, financial reporting and analysis as well as budgeting and forecasting.

To be considered for this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated equivalent competency Substantial relevant experience at an appropriate level
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly developed organisational skills with an ability to prioritise to meet deadlines
  • Proficient in a range of computing skilling including Microsoft 365, word processing, spreadsheets, databases, internet and email
  • Ability to analyse data and provide written commentary / reports
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Accounting Standards and accounting practices & procedures
  • Ability to work independently, show initiative, problem solve and work productively as part of a team
