Overview
Fantastic contract opportunity for a Finance Officer to join our dynamic finance team at Edith Cowan University.

The Finance and Business Services Centre plays the primary role in the strategic management of financial resources across the University. The Centre partners with our customers through Finance Teams to provide superior services that deliver professional relationships, efficient processes, and sound financial management to support the University’s objectives

The finance teams provide high quality financial management and business support to Schools and Service Centres including, but not limited to, assistance with compliance issues, management reports, budgeting and support in the development of research grant budgets. The Finance Officer’s role provides a range of accounting support services in delivery of the finance team’s objectives and the key responsibilities for this role includes, but is not limited to:

  • Assistance with compliance issues;
  • Invoicing and follow up;
  • Processing journal requests;
  • Account and project reconciliation;
  • Training of internal customers; and
  • Process improvement.

The successful applicant will have a working knowledge of accounting concepts, principles, practices and procedures, and of computer based accounting systems (preferably Oracle Financials).

Benefits & Remuneration
This full time, fixed term position attracts the annual equivalent remuneration of $66,813 to $71,161 p.a. plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
