  • Commencement Salary: $70,476 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)

About the Role 

Reporting to the Senior Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for undertaking a range of UniSA International finance activities and Australia Awards finance activities to support scholarship students. Duties include reconciliation and payment of Australia Award scholarships and end of period billing to the Australian Government, as well financial payment and reconciliation activities for the unit, including providing financial information and guidance to key stakeholders in UniSA International on the application of financial policies, procedures and processes, and supporting projects as required.

Specifically, Australia awards are the Australian Government’s long-term education scholarships which aim to contribute to the development needs to Australia’s partner countries in line with bilateral and regional agreements.  Part of the contract with Australia Awards requires UniSA to satisfy its financial obligations within strict guidelines, monitored annually by the Australian Government to ensure we are performing satisfactorily under the terms of the agreement. 

Essential Skills and Experience 

  • Previous experience working in a finance related role, including the maintenance of spreadsheets, reconciliation and budgeting activities 
  • Knowledge and ability to apply and interpret relevant University policy and develop and implement finance processes and procedures related to unit functions and Australia Awards finance related procedures  
  • Well-developed interpersonal, networking and facilitation skills to enable effective interaction with a diverse range of stakeholders at a variety of levels, including Government Departments and private service providers 
  • Ability to develop and implement processes and procedures to improve efficiency and project outcomes 
  • Organisational ability and initiative in work planning, prioritising to meet deadlines, often with competing demands, in a complex team environment
