  • Commencement Salary: $87,955 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)


About the Role

Reporting to the Portfolio Manager, Office of the Provost & Chief Academic Officer, the Project Officer works closely with the Chancellery executive and executive support teams to provide high level project support on a wide range of projects of relevance to the Office of the Provost & Chief Academic Officer.

As a key professional staff member supporting the Provost & Chief Academic Officer, you will work closely with the Portfolio Manager and Executive Assistant to contribute to the effective management of projects within the Portfolio and make a positive contribution to the delivery of world-class teaching, research and education services.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in a field relevant to the operations of the Portfolio or demonstrated equivalent experience, knowledge and skills
  • Highly developed oral and interpersonal communication and negotiation skills, including demonstrated experience in working effectively with people at all levels, both internal and external to the organisation
  • Demonstrated flexibility, initiative and experience in operating in a busy and complex environment and dealing effectively with competing demands to produce high quality outcomes in limited timeframes
  • Demonstrated project management experience, which involves the development and execution of complex projects
  • Proven and excellent analytical, research and writing skills to enable the effective synthesis of complex information and data from multiple sources, and the provision of high-quality, evidence-based reports
