Expressions of interest are now open for a secondment opportunity within the Adelaide University Integration Management Office (IMO) in the Student Experience & Administration Domain for the following:

  • Senior Project SME Manager: Student Transition until the 15 March 2026
  • Senior Project SME Manager: Student Services Framework and Enquiry Model until 31 March 2025

About the roles

The Senior Project Subject Matter Expert (SME) Managers are responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and successful completion of an identified significant and complex project related to the creation of the new Adelaide University. The positions will involve leading and collaborating with cross-functional teams both within The University of South Australia and The University of Adelaide, developing and executing complex project plans, managing project resources, and ensuring that the identified functions are ready for Adelaide University in line with the relevant project milestones.

The Senior Project SME Manager: Student Transition will play a crucial role in the delivery of transferring all existing student cohorts from both universities to the new Adelaide University. This is a significant and complex task that will require expert and detailed coordination.  

The Senior Project SME Manager: Student Services Framework and Enquiry Model will play a crucial role in leading the development of the service and enquiry model for Adelaide University.  Including considering different service methods, platforms and locations for the delivery of dedicated in-person support for academic, administrative and personal support models.

The Student Experience & Administration Domain is responsible for ensuring that Adelaide University is equipped with a full-range of student services, from enrolment and orientation to student support services and library functions, to completions and graduations.  The Domain activity aims to bring together the best of both the University of Adelaide and the University of South Australia alongside innovative thinking and national and international best practice to deliver on the aim of Adelaide University being ranked in the top 5 in Australia for Student Experience.
