Expressions of interest is now open for a secondment/fixed term contract opportunity within the Adelaide University Integration Management Office (IMO) in the Student Experience & Administration Domain for a Senior Project Officer (HEO 7).

About the role

As the Senior Project Officer you will be responsible for supporting the planning and delivery of projects in support of the Project Managers and Project Leads in the creation of the new Adelaide University. Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Lead advanced quantitative and qualitative analysis of data and critical management information, including internal and external data sources, to enable effective decision making 
  • Draft high quality reports and briefing papers that communicate complex data and advice for leadership, academic and corporate governance groups (oral, written, and visual) 
  • Work with a Domain Lead, Project Lead, Project Manager, Partner staff or other senior IMO staff to provide coordination, oversight and execution of program deliverables 
  • Stay informed about project plans, including risks within the SEA domain and broader project plans, to provide relevant insights for research and writing 

Essential skills and experience
  • Excellent communications skills to pro-actively consult, partner, and influence a diverse range of stakeholder and clearly deliver complex information in oral, written, and visual form (including presentations and training)
  • Pro-actively using initiative and influence across teams and with a range of different stakeholders
  • Experience in analysing data and presenting the results visually
  • Ability to analyse information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, synthesise broad information and analyse at a strategic and detailed level
  • Expertise monitoring competitive market environment and critically sourcing intelligence to inform decision-making and continuous improvement

The Student Experience & Administration Domain is responsible for ensuring that Adelaide University is equipped with a full-range of student services, from enrolment and orientation to student support services and library functions, to completions and graduations.  The Domain activity aims to bring together the best of both the University of Adelaide and the University of South Australia alongside innovative thinking and national and international best practice to deliver on the aim of Adelaide University being ranked in the top 5 in Australia for Student Experience.
