Expressions of interest is now open for a secondment/fixed term contract opportunity within the Adelaide University Integration Management Office (IMO) in the Student Experience & Administration Domain for a Project Officer: Student Transition and Project Officer: Student Experience and Administration.

About the roles

The Project Officers are responsible for supporting the planning, execution, and successful completion of projects for the Student Experience & Administration (SEA) Domain to support the creation of the new Adelaide University. The positions play a critical role in supporting the delivery of project activity, monitoring progress, and ensuring adherence to scope, timelines, and quality. The primary objective of the Project Officer is to assist project teams with administrative and technical tasks to assure the implementation and timely delivery of project activity. The Project Officer is also responsible for producing high-quality outputs, analysis, and developing relationships and collaborating with colleagues from both universities 

The Project Officer: Student Transition will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of transitioning all existing student to the new university until 15 March 2026.

The Project Officer: Student Experience and Administration will provide assistance and support to the project teams across the SEA domain until 31 December 2025.

Essential skills and experience 

  • Demonstrated experience in a complex project environment requiring the development of strong collaborative working relationships across functional boundaries 
  • Research and analytical skills and experience in the interpretation of information and the interpretation and application of policies and procedures 
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines, prioritise and anticipate requirements 
  • High degree of initiative and resourcefulness, with the ability to instigate and undertake tasks with minimal supervision and acting as a team-player

The Student Experience & Administration Domain is responsible for ensuring that Adelaide University is equipped with a full-range of student services, from enrolment and orientation to student support services and library functions, to completions and graduations.  The Domain activity aims to bring together the best of both the University of Adelaide and the University of South Australia alongside innovative thinking and national and international best practice to deliver on the aim of Adelaide University being ranked in the top 5 in Australia for Student Experience.
