About the role
We have an opportunity for a Project Lead for the People and Culture Domain to be part of the Domain leadership team leading the work to establish a future staff experience and culture for Adelaide University that will attract and retain outstanding educators, researchers, thinkers, innovators, entrepreneurs and professionals, ensuring the new University has the capability to fulfil its ambition and is recognised as an employer of choice.
As the Project Lead you will work with colleagues across both institutions and senior Integration Management Office (IMO) staff, to provide leadership, effective management and execution of relevant Domain deliverables related to the creation of the new Adelaide University.
Working in support of the Domain leadership team and our Workstream Leads, you will be responsible for delivering outcomes across all aspects of the project(s) lifecycle, including project initiation and planning, developing processes to monitor and evaluate the progress and impact of the project, managing project deliverables and interdependencies with other projects, communication, and supporting project reporting requirements. This role effectively drives project(s) to advance the integration and transformation of the new Adelaide University aligned to critical path milestones and agreed budget parameters.
About you
To be successful in this role, you are likely to have a passion for leading and executing complex projects, navigating uncertainty and being committed to supporting the staff of the two universities as we work together to create the new University. You will have a collaborative and influential style, demonstrate clarity, diplomacy, persuasiveness, and sensitivity, and your interpersonal and communication skills will allow you to readily build rapport at all levels. You will be able to evidence excellent organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines, and to achieve outcomes in a complex environment characterised by competing priorities and challenging timelines.
Essential Experience
- Qualifications or comparable relevant experience in project management
- Proven track record in leading substantial and complex projects, ideally within a Higher Education context
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities and a strong commitment to translating strategic business needs into effective solutions
- Excellent negotiation skills and ability to influence managers and staff with empathy and diplomacy
- Demonstrated ability to articulate complex information clearly and concisely
- High-level written and verbal presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate and present complex information appropriate to a range of audiences
