Your new role 

We are seeking a pool of talented, diverse and experienced Developers to join our dynamic team. As a Developer, you will actively contribute to the software development lifecycle to design, code, test, and document solutions and enhancements. Working closely within our Digital Products and Platforms teams, you will contribute to groundbreaking projects that will make a profound impact on our University.
  
We are currently recruiting for: 

  • Developers – Create robust and efficient software solutions, leveraging cutting-edge technologies to drive innovation and meet the evolving needs of our business areas.  
  • Senior Developers – Utilising your extensive experience in software development, provide technical leadership and mentorship, ensuring the stability, scalability, and performance of our technology infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities: 
  • Lead complex development projects from conception to completion, ensuring alignment with business needs and industry standards. 
  • Collaboratively design, code, test, and document solutions, adhering to best practices and established coding standards. 
  • Participate in code reviews, ensuring code quality, performance, and maintainability. 
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending innovative solutions to enhance our systems and processes. 
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of technical documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness. 
Successful candidates will hold and be proficient with:

Qualifications: 
  • Relevant degree in Computer Science, Engineering, and/or related field. 
  • Extensive experience in software development, with a focus on complex, enterprise-level applications and systems. 
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum. 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues. 
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. 
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions on time and within budget. 
Languages:

Java, Python, JavaScript, .NET, TypeScript, SQL.  


AWS Tools:

Lambda, Step Functions, Logging, Cloudwatch, QuickSight ,SQS, SNS, S3, Kinesis, SNS, Firehose, API Gateway, AppSync and others. 


DevOps and Continuous Integration:

Docker, CodePipeline, Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation and/or CDK). 


GitHub:

Familiarity with version control using GitHub for collaborative development. 


Web development technologies:

HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular). 


ServiceNow:

Knowledge of ServiceNow for IT service management and work management. 

If you have experience in AWS multi-account environments, understand .NET Framework/Core, are familiar with NodeJS development and have experience developing in a Unix/Linux environment, we want to hear from you!
You will require current work rights in Australia that match the contract tenure to be considered. This position is based at our Curtin Bentley campus, candidates are expected to either be currently located in Perth, WA, or express a willingness to relocate.
