School of Science Sessional Academic Staff Recruitment 2023-24

The School of Science at Western Sydney University is looking for suitably qualified, experienced and committed individuals to join our Team as Sessional Science Academics during 2023-24.

Sessional Science Academics play a key role in the delivery of our teaching programs
. Sessional Science Academics work under the supervision of academic staff and may be involved in a number of associated activities in relation to the delivery of our subjects including classroom and online teaching, assessment preparation, marking, meeting with students and other academic activities.

There are opportunities to teach across several of our campuses, including Parramatta South, Campbelltown, Hawkesbury and Penrith, but some subjects are offered online.

While it is our intention to ensure that sessional teaching is equitably shared, inclusion on the eligibility list does not guarantee engagement as a casual during 2023-24.

Academic Staff Enterprise Agreement: All casual sessional staff will be employed under the Academic Staff Enterprise Agreement 2017-2021  as amended and replaced from time to time.

Information on the rates of pay are in the Enterprise Agreement and may be subject to qualifications held (please refer to page 87).
