Executive Project Officer

  • Fixed term, full time position until August 2023
  • Based in Hobart
  • Provide support for School activities and special projects

The Tasmanian School of Medicine has a proud history of excellence in teaching and research for over 50 years. The School is also vitally important for the Tasmanian community, working closely with the local health system and providing medical, paramedic and postgraduate education to produce excellent practitioners and future health leaders.

The Opportunity

As the Executive Project Officer, under the broad direction of the Business Manager, you will provide key administration support including, calendar and diary management, financial management, clerical assistance, and liaison with partners and stakeholders across the College, industry, and the community. Take this opportunity to support to strategic planning initiatives, core projects, and accreditation processes.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Provide high level executive support to the Head of School, Medicine in preparation, composition and drafting of comprehensive correspondence, management of commitments, bookings, and travel arrangements.
  • Undertake the day-to-day processing of financial and people management requirements.
  • Liaise with a broad range of partners and stakeholders to provide high level organisational, committee, and communications support.
  • Provide high level administration support to accreditation teams.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain procedures and documentation surrounding key strategic projects.

Your Application

To be successful in the role, your application will need to demonstrate;

  •  An Associate Diploma level qualification with relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and training.
  • Ability to deliver outcomes, showing enthusiasm and commitment in achieving results
  • Highly developed communication skills, with the ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality and use sound judgement.
  • Knowledge and experience in finance and people management transactional tasks.
  •  Experience and initiative in the coordination of projects.

Remuneration

Appointment to this role will be at HEO 5 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $92,538 comprising base salary within the range of $70,822 to $79,092 plus 17% superannuation.
