  • Located on the Camperdown Campus at the Faculty of Science

  • Base Salary $78K - $87K (HEO5) + 17% superannuation 

About the opportunity

Reporting to the School Manager, the Executive Assistant will provide the full suite of professional executive support services to the Head of School in a timely and effective manner, ensuring the specific needs and day-to-day requirements are managed in highly efficient and effective manner.

As the first point of contact representing the Head of School, this role requires extensive administrative and organisational skills in order to manage detailed operational activities on a day-to-day basis. Client service skills are also required, along with employing tact and diplomacy to ensure matters brought to the Office of the Head of School are prioritized and managed effectively.

About you

  • administrative experience in a tertiary organisation

  • experience in creating and maintaining effective administrative systems

  • advanced experience in MS Office suite with extensive diary management experience

  • excellent interpersonal, relationship building and influencing skills with the ability to engage effectively with a range of stakeholders whilst ensuring a strong client focused outlook

  • proficient time and workload management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritise effectively

  • the ability to manage multiple tasks meet deadlines and achieve required outcomes with keen attention to detail, and a demonstrated self-starting approach to work.

Please note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Australian Temporary Residents currently employed at the University of Sydney may be considered for a fixed term contract for the length of their visa, depending on the requirements of the hiring area and the position.
