As the EA to the Head of School & Dean and School General Manager you will deliver a full suite of professional executive support services to the school leadership team at the Sydney Law School.

On a day-to-day basis your key responsibilities will be to:

  • act as the first point of contact representing the Head of School and Dean

  • manage a busy diary, book travel and coordinate other operational activities

  • employ tact and diplomacy and ensure matters brought to the school leadership team are prioritised and presented in a well-researched manner

  • respond to enquiries in person, by phone and email to parties internal and external to the University and ascertain the type and level of response required, deploying discretion, empathy and exercising a sound knowledge of the work area and key priorities.

About you

To ensure your success you’ll need:

  • the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, taking initiative and exercising sound judgement in resolving matters that may arise as part of normal daily work

  • advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite, with strong diary management experience

  • excellent time and workload management skills with a demonstrated ability to prioritise effectively, manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and achieve required outcomes

  • high level verbal and written communication skills, with experience in handling a wide range of enquiries and providing excellent customer service

  • well-developed negotiation, conflict resolution, relationship building and influencing skills

  • a flexible approach, and willingness to take on new tasks as the role evolves.
