The University of Adelaide Enterprise Agreement 2017-2021 will apply to a successful candidate’s employment at the University.  The University recently temporarily varied its Enterprise Agreement.  Please be advised that the salary range, along with other conditions associated with this position, may change in accordance with the variation to the Enterprise Agreement.

Fixed-term position available for 6 months 

The Events Support Officer provides support for the University’s External Relations Branch events and activities and assists the Events team in the planning, implementation and evaluation of events. From assistance with arrangement of venues, logistical elements of events and events collateral, the Events Support Officer is a critical player within a dynamic and fast pace team. Events experience, creativity, diligence and a good sense of humour are desirable attributes to succeed in this role.

The External Relations Branch comprises of three units i.e. Advancement Office, Media and Corporate Relations and Cultural & Campus Events.  The Branch has been created to develop and foster partnerships and links with business, government, alumni and the community and to optimise the effectiveness and efficiency of engagement activities, including communications, within one portfolio

To be successful you will need:

  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, both written and oral and the ability to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational skills, demonstrating the ability to prioritise and problem solve.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage own work, including the ability to prioritise work tasks and work flow.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and experience in using customer relationship databases
