About Us

The WA Data Science Innovation Hub (WADSIH) has been established to enable the application of data science for the benefit of all West Australians. It is jointly funded by the Government of Western Australia's New Industries Fund and Curtin University.

The Hub enables Western Australia to build a data driven ecosystem and culture by fostering collaboration, promoting expertise, advocating and enabling data literacy across the community, industry, academia and government for all Western Australians.

In this role you will: 

  • Plan and coordinate WADSIH-led events and activities
  • Research and evaluate potential venues, vendors and other resources as required
  • Manage and supervise event set-up including IT, branding materials and other equipment
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including contractors, suppliers, participants and partners
  • Provide support to WADSIH team as required to ensure deliverables are met
We are looking for someone with:
  • Extensive event coordination/management experience and expertise (a degree or qualification is desirable but not essential. Will consider applications from students who are progressing towards a degree or certification)
  • Postgraduate qualifications, or progress towards is desirable
  • Exceptional organisational abilities and multi-tasking skills
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills with an ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Willingness and ability to elicit engagement and participation of minor and major stakeholders in order to successfully deliver project outcomes
  • Previous experience working on large events, trade fairs, conferences and expo’s is desirable
